The Science — Vasoconstriction, vascular rebound & stabilised gel

The science behind CryoBloom

Why heat and cold genuinely act on skin, muscles and joints.

The science behind CryoBloom

Vasoconstriction: the cold effect

On contact with cold, blood vessels constrict. This vasoconstriction reduces blood flow, decreases puffiness, redness and inflammation, and dulls the sensation of pain.

Vascular rebound: the glow effect

Once the cold is removed, vessels dilate again: this is the vascular rebound. The renewed oxygenation gives skin a fresh, radiant complexion — the famous glow effect.

Thermotherapy: the heat effect

Heat dilates vessels, boosts circulation and relaxes muscle fibres. It is ideal against stiffness and cramps, and to prepare tissues before exercise.

CryoBloom stabilised gel

Our stabilised gel beads release cold up to twice as long as ordinary gel, for more effective sessions — with no leaks thanks to leakproof technology.
